Uber Cool Books
The Reading Lab just published a new uber cool list of reading selections "Books for Brain Power". The titles were selected for their excellent vocabulary and word usage. Lyam Christopher, SLC Learning Specialist says "we believe they offer a natural, fun, and challenging way to increase college-level vocabulary". Pennies For Peace

Pennies for Peace is a service-learning program of Central Asia Institute. To date, the Central Asia Institute has helped to build nearly 100 schools in norther Pakistan and Afghanistan.
- At PBCC, there are PFP containers at all SLC Labs, Library Reference and Circulation desks, Media Center, Bookstore, Cafeteria and Student Activity Center. We will collect pennies until Friday, April 24th.
- Join us in the Library Gallery (2nd Floor) on Wednesday, April 29th when we will announce the total amount of money collected for Pennies for Peace. We will send the check to: http://www.penniesforpeace.org/
Pennies for Peace is part of the ONE CAMPUS ONE READ book reading of Three Cups of Tea.

National Book Award Winners
Listen to the 2008 National Book Award winners for fiction, nonfiction, youth and poetry. Hear fiction award winner Peter Mathiessen read from Shadow Country: E.J.
